Education Sessions
Call for Topics
Education sessions are a vital part of the experience at the NRA Show. Planning for NRA Show® 2009 is well under way, and we are pleased to begin accepting proposals for timely, relevant, and exciting topics to be presented. Submit your topic or speaker suggestion today! Please review the following submission guidelines:
Submission Guidelines:
- All proposed sessions should be either single, two-speaker, or panel presentation format. Whenever possible, the restaurant or foodservice operator perspective must be represented.
Submissions should be original, never-before-presented material that will provide the attendee with a truly new educational experience.
- Information contained within the session should focus on providing industry operators with take-home business solutions they can immediately put into action.
- Speaker proposals must be strictly educational in nature for a majority of our attendee base, and not contain promotional information of any kind regarding a specific service or product.
- Proposal content should fall into one of the four following categories of industry categories:
- Profitability and Entrepreneurship — Examples: Low- or No-cost Marketing Strategies, Taking Your Franchise to the Next Level, Food Cost Controls, Controlling Labor in a Tight Economy
- Jobs and Career — Examples: Recruiting and Retention Strategies, Attracting Leaders to the Hospitality Industry, Developing Talented Teams
- Food and Healthy Living — Examples: Future Menu Trends Forecasting, Healthy Dining Benefits, Culinary Perspective on Menu Development
- Sustainability and Social Responsibility — Examples: Diversity in the Workplace, Multicultural Recruiting, Sustainability in the Food Supply, Chefs/Restaurateurs Committed to Sustainable Business Practices
